    The Bihar government has executed a significant administrative reshuffle, affecting the postings of several IAS officers. The General Administration Department issued an official notification detailing the transfer of seven officers and their new responsibilities. This reshuffle is aimed at strengthening the administrative setup of the state.

    The transfers involve several key changes in administrative roles, including the Patna Divisional Commissioner and other crucial posts. These changes are aimed at improving governance across different departments.

    Details of the Transfers

    Chandrashekhar Singh, previously the Patna Divisional Commissioner, has been appointed as the Secretary in the CM Secretariat. He will also handle the Disaster Management Department and hold the position of Chairman of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited.

    Animesh Kumar Parashar, the former Chief Executive Officer and Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation, is now the Patna Divisional Commissioner. Additionally, he will serve as the Managing Director of BUDCO.

    Himanshu Sharma, the Chief Executive Officer of Jeevika, will also take on the additional responsibility of Special Secretary in the Health Department, while Shirshat Kapil Ashok, the Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation, will also manage CONFED, Patna, as its Managing Director.

    Additional Appointments

    Yashpal Meena, previously the Additional Secretary of the Health Department, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer and Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation. Kritika Mishra, an IAS officer from the 2023 batch, formerly the Sub-Divisional Officer of Pakri Dayal, East Champaran, has been posted as the Sub-Divisional Officer of Gogri. Pradyuman Singh Yadav, the Sub-Divisional Officer of Gogri, is now the Additional Municipal Commissioner of Patna Municipal Corporation.
