Bihar Government’s Self-Employment Scheme Fuels Rural Development

The Transport Department reports that over 3,500 youth from marginalized communities have applied for vehicle purchases in the latest phase of the program. The scheme aims to provide financial support to beneficiaries, facilitating their entry into self-employment and promoting economic independence. The program provides subsidies for purchasing vehicles, including e-rickshaws and other passenger vehicles. The scheme, which began in 2018, aims to support 55,000 vehicle purchases, with thousands already completed.
