The BJP held a silent protest in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan on Saturday to condemn the inappropriate remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The protestors wore black bands on their arms. Ravi Shankar Prasad, MP of Patna Sahib, who led the protest, said that the people of Bihar will not tolerate any disrespect towards a mother. He demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav. He questioned if insulting the Prime Minister’s mother was appropriate behavior.

Minister Nitin Naveen stated that the people of Bihar will not tolerate the insult of a mother. BJP workers are not afraid of any oppression, and the fight against the insult of a mother will continue. National Minister Rituraj Sinha said the use of offensive language against the Prime Minister’s late mother, even on a public platform, has shamed the entire Bihar. This is not the culture of Bihar, where mothers are revered. We worship Chhathi Maiya.

MP Dr. Sanjay Jaiswal condemned the language used against the Prime Minister’s mother. He said that Bihar’s history does not include the disrespect of women, and the people of Bihar and the country will respond. Former MP Ramkripal Yadav said it was an insult to every mother in the country and that it cannot be tolerated. The silent protest conveyed the message that the Congress’s character will not change.

Among those present at the silent protest were Rajya Sabha MP Dharmshila Gupta, MLAs Arun Kumar Sinha, Anil Sharma, State General Secretary Radha Mohan Sharma, Rajesh Verma, and numerous party officials and workers.

Ejaz Ahmad, the Bihar Pradesh RJD spokesperson, responded sharply to the BJP’s silent protest, citing their own history of using improper language. He questioned the language used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his speeches. He questioned why the BJP was silent when disparaging language was used against Tejashwi Yadav’s mother and sister by BJP MLA Janak Singh in the Bihar Assembly. He emphasized the BJP’s history of abusive behavior.

On the 14th day of the Voter Rights Yatra, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi spoke at a massive public gathering in Ara with Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, CPI(ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, VIP founder Mukesh Sahani, and Congress State President Rajesh Ram.
