Bihar’s political scene is currently charged as the state gears up for the upcoming assembly elections, with the BJP’s recent actions drawing significant attention. The BJP organized a Bihar bandh to protest against offensive remarks made against PM Modi’s mother. However, this move has been widely criticized by the opposition parties who have deemed it as ineffective. An RJD spokesperson went further to state that the bandh was a complete failure, emphasizing that the people of Bihar have become aware of the BJP’s intentions of building a false narrative against the RJD and Congress using unsubstantiated claims. Let’s take a closer look at the key political developments in Bihar:

**1. Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) Holds National Convention:**
The Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) convened its national convention in Delhi at the Constitution Club. The event was inaugurated by Jitan Ram Manjhi, party patron and former Chief Minister. Key leaders including the National President Dr. Santosh Kumar Suman, other officials, MLAs, and party workers from across the country participated. The convention included discussions about several resolutions. Some of the resolutions were to condemn the India alliance for insulting the Prime Minister’s mother, preparation for the Bihar assembly elections, demanding homes on 5 decimal land for every Dalit family, emphasizing a uniform education system, resolving to fight strongly for more seats in the Bihar elections, focusing on social equations and discussions, demanding agricultural land for landless families, employment for migrant workers, social security plans, and supporting the underprivileged.

**2. Fortunate Future Foundation Members to Support AAP:**
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is set to receive support from the members of the Fortunate Future Foundation who were cheated in investments in PACL. This information was revealed by National President Surendra Prasad at a press conference at the AAP Bihar state office on Thursday.

**3. NDA Women’s Wing Organizes ‘Bihar Bandh’:**
The NDA’s women’s wing organized a Bihar bandh as a protest against the offensive comments made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother during rallies. BJP leaders and workers took to the streets to protest and show their dissent.

**4. Prashant Kishor Weighs In on the Bandh:**
Prashant Kishor, the driving force behind the Jan Suraaj initiative, addressed a rally in Arwal, criticizing the BJP’s shutdown and stating that it had a negligible impact. Kishor also pointed his criticism at the NDA leaders, accusing them of causing disruptions. He asserted that the public did not support the bandh. Additionally, he addressed comments by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and criticized his statements on corruption and governance.

    **5. CPI-ML’s Condemnation of BJP’s Actions:**
CPI-ML state secretary Kunal accused the BJP of using actions reminiscent of goondaism during the bandh. He highlighted instances of harassment, including targeting ambulances and street vendors. Kunal pointed out that the public largely rejected the shutdown.

**6. BJP Leaders Switch Allegiance to RJD:**
Chandan Kumar Singh and Sonu Gupta, accompanied by their supporters, left the BJP and joined the RJD. This event took place at the RJD state office in the presence of prominent leaders.

He noted that the public had understood the BJP’s strategy of fabricating narratives against the RJD and Congress. Gagan highlighted that the duration of the bandh was shortened, indicating the BJP’s recognition of its unpopularity.
