The political landscape of Bihar is witnessing significant developments, with women’s empowerment taking center stage alongside preparations for upcoming elections. The government is actively implementing schemes aimed at supporting women, while various political parties are strategizing for the electoral battle.

Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Bihar BJP President, emphasized the government’s dedication to uplifting women and recognizing their importance. He highlighted that numerous development projects are specifically designed for women. Jaiswal lauded the launch of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which provided an initial financial installment of Rs. 10,000 to 75 lakh women in Bihar for self-employment. He stated that the government is committed to enhancing women’s participation.

JDU National Spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan Prasad highlighted that the launch of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana represented a momentous occasion in Bihar. This scheme provided financial assistance totaling Rs. 7,500 crore to 75 lakh women through DBT, supporting their journey toward self-sufficiency.

The Bahujan Samaj Party has taken a strategic step by announcing its candidates for the upcoming Bihar assembly elections, demonstrating its proactive approach. The party has nominated Vikas Singh (alias Lallu Patel) from Bhabua, Omprakash Deewana from Mohania, and Satish Yadav (alias Pintu Yadav) from Ramgarh. The candidate for the Chainpur seat is yet to be decided.

Party officials, including Umesh Singh Kushwaha, celebrated the launch of the Mukhyamantri Mahila Rozgar Yojana, marking the transfer of the first installment of Rs. 10,000 to the accounts of 75 lakh women.

Several leaders from the Shahabad, Mithila, and Patliputra regions joined the Rashtriya Lok Morcha. Upendra Kushwaha, the party’s national president, welcomed the new members and expressed his confidence that they would strengthen the party in the respective regions and enhance their efforts in public service.

During the Patliputra Dalit Sammelan, CPI (ML) General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya underscored the importance of safeguarding the right to vote. He also reflected on the contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the process of constitution-making.

RJD spokesperson Chittaranjan Gagan expressed strong disapproval of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s remarks about Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, deeming them inappropriate. Gagan emphasized the importance of respecting women, especially during Navratri, and criticized the Chief Minister’s choice of language.
