Bihar’s political scene is heating up as the state gears up for elections. The BJP’s recent call for a ‘Bihar Bandh’ to protest against the remarks about Prime Minister Modi’s mother was largely unsuccessful. RJD leaders criticized the BJP’s actions, claiming that the public saw through the bandh’s motives. Here’s a summary of recent political developments:

**1. Hindustani Awam Morcha National Convention:** The Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) held a national convention in Delhi. The convention was attended by key party members, including former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi. The event involved discussions, including the condemnation of the India alliance for insulting the Prime Minister’s mother, preparations for the Bihar assembly elections, demands for government support to provide land for housing to every Dalit family, emphasis on implementing a uniform education system, commitment to contesting more seats in the Bihar elections, social equations and discussions, demands to make land available to landless families, Dalits, backward classes, extremely backward classes, and ex-servicemen, return and employment arrangements for laborers who have migrated from Bihar, discussions on old age pensions and social security schemes, and decisions to motivate workers to provide maximum benefits to the poor and the marginalized.

**2. Fortunate Future Foundation Backs AAP:** The upcoming Bihar assembly elections will see support for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from members of the Fortunate Future Foundation. The Foundation members lost money in PACL investments. Accusations were made against the central government for closing PACL without returning investors’ funds.

**3. NDA Women’s Wing’s Bihar Bandh:** The NDA Joint Women’s Front organized a five-hour Bihar Bandh in response to the criticisms made about Prime Minister Modi and his mother. BJP leaders participated in the demonstrations, which included protests against the opposition parties.

**4. Prashant Kishor’s Remarks:** Prashant Kishor of Jan Suraaj criticized the Bihar Bandh, claiming it had little effect and that the public was not supportive of it. He highlighted the disruption caused by the bandh.

**5. Accusations of ‘Goonda Raj’:** The CPI-ML state secretary accused the BJP of running a ‘goonda raj’ in Bihar, highlighting the public’s rejection of the bandh. Accusations included incidents of harassment and disruption during the bandh.

**6. BJP Leaders Switch to RJD:** Chandan Kumar Singh and Sonu Gupta, along with their supporters, joined the RJD. The event took place in the presence of RJD officials.

**7. RJD’s Stance on BJP’s Bandh:** The RJD dismissed the BJP’s Bihar Bandh as a failure, stating that the public understood the BJP’s political tactics.
