The political scene in Bihar is heating up following Tejashwi Yadav’s rally against the Waqf Amendment Act, with strong reactions from key leaders. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi have strongly condemned the rally. Sinha accused the opposition of disrupting democratic practices under the guise of protesting the Waqf Bill, stating that those against the bill want to create chaos. He asserted that the bill represents satisfaction, not appeasement. Sinha criticized the RJD and Congress for allegedly inciting emotions to enable a government based on exploitation. He clarified that the NDA government does not create laws for vote banks and the Waqf Amendment Bill does not interfere with religious freedom.

Sinha further clarified that the bill does not allow non-Islamic members in the Waqf Board related to religious donation tasks. He also stated that non-Muslim members in the Waqf Board will not handle religious activities. He accused the RJD-Congress of creating confusion and chaos.

Jitan Ram Manjhi accused Tejashwi Yadav of using the Waqf issue to gain political advantage. He claimed that Tejashwi would not succeed. He challenged Tejashwi to remove illegal occupants from Waqf lands. Manjhi said that 90% of the illegal occupants are linked to Tejashwi Yadav’s party. Manjhi stated that the party’s current situation is the result of the actions of his parents’ government.
