Bihar is enhancing its rail connectivity with the launch of three new Amrit Bharat Express trains. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the new services, set to commence from Patna Junction on September 30th. The official inauguration will take place on Monday via video conferencing. The introduction of these trains is aimed at providing improved transportation options for the people of Bihar, coinciding with the festive season of Diwali and the upcoming assembly elections. The new routes include connections from Muzaffarpur to Charlapalli (near Hyderabad), Darbhanga to Madar Junction (near Ajmer), and Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal (Delhi). The Muzaffarpur–Charlapalli Express marks the inaugural Amrit Bharat service to South India, and the Chhapra–Anand Vihar Express adds to the existing network to the national capital.
