    In a tragic event, a former Sarpanch was murdered by Naxals in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh. The victim, identified as Vijay Jawwa, was killed in Chhinakodepal village, within the Modakpal police station area. The brutal killing has created a climate of fear throughout the region. The Naxals attacked the former Sarpanch at his home with sharp weapons and left his body on a village road. This act has resulted in significant unrest among the residents. Security forces have been actively targeting Naxals in Bijapur. In retaliation, the Naxals are reportedly targeting villagers, accusing them of providing information to the authorities.
