In the latest development from the ongoing anti-Naxal operation in the National Park area of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, security forces have killed two more Naxals. This follows the previous elimination of Bhaskar, who carried a bounty of 45 lakhs. Automatic weapons were also recovered. The Superintendent of Police in Bijapur confirmed the information.

The operation has yielded considerable success, with the security forces eliminating Sudhakar, a Naxal leader with a bounty of one crore, and Bhaskar. Including the latest casualties, four Naxals, including two top commanders, have been killed in the operation.

The continuous successes have raised the spirits of the security forces, while significantly impacting the Naxal organizations. During an anti-Naxal operation in the National Park area, security forces killed Naxal leader Bhaskar alias Mailarapu Adellu on Friday. An AK-47 rifle, explosives, weapons, and ammunition were recovered. Bhaskar hailed from Adilabad district, Telangana, and served as the secretary of the CPI (Maoist) Telangana State Committee’s Mancherial-Komaram Bheem (MKB) division. Mandugula Bhaskar Rao was a member of the Telangana State Committee’s Special Zonal Committee (SZC). He was 45 years old and a resident of Urumadala village, Adilabad district, Telangana. Earlier, on June 5, 2025, the body of Central Committee member Gautam alias Sudhakar was recovered with an AK-47 rifle. These repeated achievements have boosted the morale of the security forces and significantly weakened the Naxal organizations.
