Friday marked a poignant moment in New Delhi as BJP stalwarts, led by Home Minister Amit Shah, commemorated the 78th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi with deep emotional tributes. The leaders’ messages on social media evoked Gandhi’s pivotal role in India’s independence saga.

Shah’s X post resonated widely: ‘Crores of salutations to Mahatma Gandhi today.’ He detailed Gandhi’s genius in unifying a divided India, expanding the freedom struggle, and envisioning a resplendent nation through self-sufficiency, liberty, and purity—legacies that propel us forward.

From Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath proffered salutations manifold, extolling Bapu’s integrity, dedication to ahimsa, and humanitarian zeal as perpetual lights. He rallied for adopting these virtues to forge an opulent, fair, and progressive India.

Delhi CM Rekha Gupta’s tribute poured out infinite namans, recognizing Gandhi’s alchemy of turning the independence quest into a nationwide fervor rooted in truth and non-violence. His doctrines of amity, serenity, and concord inspire universally.

Bihar’s Nitish Kumar saluted respectfully, underscoring the perpetual guidance from Bapu’s principles for upcoming generations. Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma invoked Gandhi’s exemplary life of satya-ahimsa, a compass for empathy, mercy, and equity in times ahead.

Nayab Singh Saini of Haryana offered modest homage, highlighting Gandhi’s bolstering of oneness, resilience, and moral fortitude. His ideals encompass Ram Rajya’s utopia and a harmonious world benefiting all mankind.

Amidst political divides, this unified reverence highlights Gandhi’s philosophy as a unifying force, essential for nurturing India’s democratic fabric and ethical compass in the 21st century.
