The explosion reportedly occurred prematurely, catching the workers off guard as they were moving away from the blast zone. The impact of the blast caused fragments to fly, leading to the injuries of the workers and affecting nearby equipment. The injured were immediately attended to and transported to the SECL regional hospital, where their condition is reported as stable and non-life-threatening. They are receiving medical care and are expected to recover quickly. Authorities are investigating the cause of the blast, with a technical error being the primary suspicion. A comprehensive probe is in progress to identify any lapses in safety procedures or equipment malfunctions. Operations at the mine have been temporarily paused for safety checks and to ensure all protocols are being followed.
