Ajay Devgn, one of Bollywood’s most respected actors, has starred in a diverse range of films. While many have been successful, some have faced setbacks at the box office. This piece reflects on a film from his past that failed to meet financial targets.

Devgn started his Bollywood career with a successful launch and has since become a top actor. He has headlined numerous hit films and has also featured in multi-starrer projects. This article discusses one such multi-starrer, which, despite a star-studded cast, didn’t achieve commercial success.

The film in question is ‘Baadshaho,’ released in 2017. The cast included Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Vidyut Jammwal, Ileana D’Cruz, and Esha Gupta. Sharad Kelkar and Sanjay Mishra also had roles. Ileana portrayed the role of Maharani Gitanjali, while Ajay played Bhawani Singh.

The story was written by Rajat Arora and directed by Milan Luthria. The film had a budget of 85 crore rupees. However, its earnings in India were only 78.10 crore rupees, leading to its failure.

Ajay has had two film releases in 2025. ‘Raid 2’ was a hit, whereas ‘Son of Sardar 2’ did not perform as well. He is scheduled to appear in ‘De De Pyaar De 2,’ which is expected to release in November 2025.
