The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued an important notice regarding the BPSC 71st Combined Civil Preliminary Examination 2025. The commission has officially dismissed all claims and reports suggesting a postponement of the preliminary exam. Through a press release shared on X, the commission confirmed that the BPSC 71st Preliminary Examination is scheduled to take place on September 13th. The BPSC has also criticized specific coaching institutions and social media channels for propagating rumors about the exam’s postponement and has advised candidates to be aware of such misinformation.

The commission has stated that the circulating reports about the exam’s postponement are inaccurate. It clarified that any official announcements regarding exam postponements will only be communicated through its official website, its verified social media accounts, or through official press releases. According to the release, candidates will have sufficient time to download their BPSC preliminary exam admit cards and obtain information about their examination districts and centers, in accordance with established protocols.

The commission also alerted candidates to be careful of false information and avoid relying on unofficial sources for updates. The commission had previously received complaints from some coaching institutions concerning perceived similarities between exam questions and model papers. In response, the commission strongly denied these allegations, stating they were completely false and misleading.

The BPSC 71st Combined Civil Services Examination is aimed at filling a total of 1,264 positions. The initial notification listed 1,250 posts. The total number of positions was subsequently increased to 1,264 with the addition of 14 DSP posts.
