The launch of BSNL’s 4G network marks a significant advancement in India’s digital infrastructure. The network, which includes 98,000 sites nationwide, utilizes indigenous technology and is designed for future 5G compatibility. The initiative is aligned with the government’s goal of achieving telecom self-reliance. It aims to provide comprehensive 4G coverage, ensuring that every part of India is connected. The network is supported by the Digital Bharat Nidhi initiative, which has connected approximately 29,000 villages. With the involvement of Tejas Networks, C-DOT, and TCS, the project demonstrates India’s growing capabilities in telecom equipment manufacturing.
