    Mumbai: Reality show ‘Bigg Boss OTT 3’, which has been hitting the headlines ever since it premiered has got caught up in another controversy with Shiv Sena MLA Manisha Kayande approaching Mumbai police demanding legal action against the show for allegedly airing inappropriate content.

    Kayande, Secretary and Spokesperson of Shiv Sena, along with other members on Monday met Mumbai Police Commissioner Vivek Phansalkar and submitted a written complaint expressing concerns over content aired in the episode of Bigg Boss OTT Season 3 on July 18.

    Kayande highlighted that the particular episode depicted contestants engaging in lewd and offensive behaviour, which she described as trampling social values ​​and crossing the boundaries of family relationships, according to a press release.

    Reacting to the controversy, JioCinema, which streams the show issued a statement saying that the clip in question was doctored and was never aired by their platform.

    “JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. Bigg Boss OTT, which was streamed on JioCinema did not have any such content. The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake. We are committed to protecting the integrity of JioCinema and the trust our viewers place in us. The creation and circulation of this fake clip is a matter of very serious concern,” the statement read.

    JioCinema said that its teams are working towards identifying the origins of the clip and will initiate action against offenders.

    The Shiv Sena leader called for the immediate cessation of the show and demanded strict action against its producers and the CEO of the broadcasting company. She has requested the Mumbai Commissioner of Police to investigate whether the episode has gone viral on various social media platforms and to take appropriate legal action against those involved.

    “Bigg Boss 3 is a reality show. The shooting is ongoing. It’s an absolute vulgarity that is being depicted. The YouTube influencer is also participating, and now he has crossed all limits of vulgarity. For the scenes being shown, we have requested Mumbai Police to take action, and we have given them a letter,” Kayande said while speaking to ANI.

    Jasmin Bhasin’s Corneal Damage

She started experiencing pain, which worsened, eventually leaving her unable to see. ‘I was in Delhi for an event on July 17, for which I was getting ready. I don’t know what was wrong with my lenses, but after I wore them, my eyes started hurting, and the pain gradually got worse. I wanted to rush to a doctor, but since it was a work commitment, I decided to attend the event and then go to the doctor.     She added further, ‘Doctors have told me that I should recover in the next four-five days, but till then, I need to take good care of my eyes. It’s not easy because I can’t see, and I am struggling to even sleep due to the pain. Fortunately, I didn’t have to postpone any of my work. I hope to recover and get back to work in a few days.

    New Delhi: The Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau, in collaboration with Cyberabad’s Police Special Operations Team (SOT) and Rajendra Nagar Police, have apprehended five individuals, including Aman Preet Singh, the brother of Popular Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh, for their involvement for alleged consumption of cocaine.

    According to the Times Of India report The TG-Anti Narcotics Bureau (TG-ANB), in coordination with Cyberabad police have held 5 drug peddlers including two of African nationality in possession of 199 grams of cocaine. The operation also identified 13 individuals who were customers of the drug peddlers, six of whom have been traced by the officials.

    The 13 identified consumers are Aman, Kishan Rathi, Aniketh, Yashwanth, Rohith, Sri Charan, Prasad, Hemanth, Nikhil, Madhu, Raghu, Krishnam Raju and Venkat. They were accused but not arrested, states TOI report.

    “It is an ardent request from Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police,” the Telangana police said in a statement as quoted by NDTV.

    The arrested drug peddlers included two Nigerian nationals identified as Onuoha Blessing alias Joana Gomes and Azeez Noheem Adeshola, along with three Indian nationals: Allam Satya Venkata Gowtham, Sanaboina Varun Kumar, and Mohammed Mahaboob Shareef. These arrests were made in connection with the trafficking of 199 grams of cocaine in the city.
