  • Row Over Entry Of Muslims In Maha Kumbh As Preparations Begin |

The Stage is all set for the Maha Kumbh at Sangam, the largest gathering of the Hindu faith, which symbolizes a profound confluence of faith, devotion, and spirituality for Sanatani Hindus. As the event approaches in January, with attendees expected from around the globe, a controversy has erupted over the potential entry of Muslims into this sacred gathering. One group argues that Muslims should be banned from entering, while another group insists that they should be allowed entry.

In today’s DNA, the Zee News analyzed the demands of each side over the Muslim Entry.

One group questions the role of Muslims in a Hindu gathering, while others argue that if Muslims are banned, Hindus could also face restrictions at shrines and dargahs.

Some assert that those who do not understand Hindu beliefs should refrain from attending the Kumbh. In contrast, another group contends that such a ban would violate constitutional rights.

Both sides have their own arguments, but in response to the demand to ban Muslims from entering the Maha Kumbh, Samajwadi Party MP Jiya Ur Rehman Work issued a warning. He stated that if this happens, a chain of events will be set in motion.

  • ‘Rahul Gandhi Wants Civil War In Country’: BJP Leader On Waqf Board Row |

Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday, accusing him of trying to incite civil war in the country over the Waqf board issue.

“Rahul Gandhi wants to create civil war in the country in the name of the Waqf Board, for which he is bringing in new toolkits. The wrongdoings of Congress and this dream of Rahul Gandhi will not be realized,” Singh said, ANI reported.

He also criticized Congress leader Salman Khurshid for his comments regarding religious atrocities faced by Hindus in Bangladesh.

“When Hindus in Bangladesh faced religious atrocities, Congress leaders including Salman Khurshid and others said that scenes like Bangladesh would be recreated in India,” Singh added.

Singh’s reaction comes in the wake of the Waqf board controversy, following a walkout by opposition members of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) during a meeting to discuss the Waqf amendment bill last week.

The issue has gained attention in Karnataka, where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized the Congress government for allegedly sending notices to farmers to seize their land.

Meanwhile, Karnataka Ministers including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah have clarified that no farmers would be evicted from their land. Priyank Kharge, Minister for Rural Development, earlier slammed the BJP over the Waqf row and said that the allegations dubbed by the opposition party in the state were “politically motivated.”

“This is nothing but politically motivated. I want to ask the BJP, during their tenure, did the Waqf Board shut its doors? Was it shut? There was nothing happening during the BJP tenure. They say one thing and do another,” said Kharge.

    — Zee News (@ZeeNews) November 2, 2024 Tensions in Karnataka’s Kadakol Village Over Waqf Property Claims

In Karnataka’s Kadakol village, Haveri district, a rumor spread that local temples and Hindu properties had been identified as Waqf properties. Villagers feared that their temples and lands could soon be handed over to the Waqf Board, sparking anxiety and communal tensions.

Concerned about the potential for the Waqf Board to take over their properties, the Hindu community expressed anger, and unrest spread in the village.

    Hindu Protests Turn Violent

Videos that went viral on social media depicted angry villagers allegedly vandalizing Muslim homes in protest. Reports indicate that clashes broke out between Hindu and Muslim residents in Kadakol after Hindus received word that the Waqf Board might soon take over their temples and homes.

The conflict reportedly began when some Muslims from the village filed a petition requesting that the Hanuman Temple and Durga Temple premises be designated as Waqf property.

The petition also sought the inclusion of lands surrounding these temples under Waqf Board jurisdiction. Following this petition, the Zilla Panchayat allegedly began marking two temples and some Hindu-owned homes as Waqf properties.

As soon as news of this identification reached Hindu villagers, they were alarmed at the thought of losing their homes and temples. In response, some villagers resorted to stone-pelting targeting Muslim residences, leading to heightened security measures and the arrest of around 32 individuals, predominantly Hindus.

Official Verification and Claims by the Waqf Board

The district administration confirmed that the Waqf Board had indeed submitted a list of properties to the Zilla Panchayat, claiming ownership. Under the direction of the Zilla Panchayat CEO, the properties on the Waqf Board’s list were undergoing verification. Representatives from the Waqf Board and Zilla Panchayat visited the village to identify and verify these properties, leading to widespread unease.

    RTI Revelations

The concerns in Kadakol reflect a larger issue emerging across Karnataka. An RTI query recently revealed that the Waqf Board has been asserting ownership over multiple historic sites in the state, further fueling concerns over its expanding claims.

According to the RTI, the Waqf Board has staked claims on 53 ASI-protected historical monuments in Karnataka. These sites include significant landmarks like the Gulbarga Fort, Gol Gumbaz, Bijapur’s Bara Kaman, and Bidar Fort. Notably, the Waqf Board had claimed ownership of 43 out of these 53 monuments as early as 2005.

The RTI findings indicate that the Waqf Board laid claim to these monuments without prior discussion with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Although the ASI declared the Waqf Board’s claims as invalid, the Board remains adamant, unwilling to relinquish its stake in these properties.

Amid rising incidents like those in Kadakol, the Waqf Board’s expansive claims and powers have sparked public outrage, especially in Karnataka. Critics argue that the board’s growing authority is leading to property disputes, particularly under the current state administration.

  • Goa Speaker Rejects Disqualification Plea Against Eight Congress MLAs Who Joined BJP |

Goa assembly speaker Ramesh Tawadkar on Friday dismissed the disqualification petition filed by the Congress against eight of its MLAs who defected to the ruling BJP in 2022.

The disqualification petition was filed by former Goa Congress chief Girish Chodankar against MLAs Digambar Kamat, Aleixo Sequeira, Sankalp Amonkar, Michael Lobo, Delilah Lobo, Kedar Naik, Rudolf Fernandes and Rajesh Faldesai. The eight MLAs joined the BJP on September 14, 2022, taking the ruling party’s strength in the 40-member assembly to 28.

Chodankar, in his petition, had sought that the speaker disqualify these eight MLAs under Para 2 of the 10th Schedule read with Article 191 of the Constitution on the ground that they had voluntarily given up the membership of the original party (Congress) on the tickets. of which they had contested for the 8th Goa legislative assembly and had won.

“It is undisputed fact that respondents were dully elected as the members of Indian National Congress for the present assembly and are now affiliated to the Bharatiya Janata Party,” Chodankar said in the petition filed through advocate Abhijit Gosavi.

The petition contended there was no valid merger in this case as the twin requirement of merger of political party to be agreed by two-thirds of members of the legislature party was not satisfied.

“Para 4 of the 10th Schedule of the Constitution does not contemplate merger of the political party to the legislature party. Such a merger is contrary to the object of the 10th Schedule of the Constitution. In the present case, there is no dispute that the The original political party (Congress) has not merged,” he said in the plea.

Advocate Parag Rao, representing the eight MLAs, however, said the speaker, through a communication on September 14, 2022, has recorded that the eight MLAs passed a resolution to merge the Congress legislature party with the BJP.

Rao further said the BJP, by conduct, has accepted this merger since it has made some of these MLAs ministers in the state government.

Dismissing the disqualification petition, speaker Tawadkar ruled a member of the assembly shall not be disqualified where his original political party merges with another political party.

“In simple words, upon the merger of the original political party of the elected member with another political party, the elected member will not face disqualification in either contingency i.e. whether he chooses to go with the merger or disagrees with the same,” the speaker ruled.

The speaker said disqualification on ground of defection does not apply in case of merger.

  • DNA Exclusive: Lawrence Bishnoi Under Threat? Know Who’s Targeting The Notorious Gangster |

The notorious Lawrence Bishnoi, whose gang has previously threatened high-profile celebrities like Salman Khan, is now facing a threat on his own life.

In an exclusive report, Zee News has revealed that rival gangster Kaushal Chaudhary is plotting to eliminate Lawrence Bishnoi, with connections for this plan allegedly extending as far as the United States.

Chaudhary, like Bishnoi, has established a powerful network of shooters and is reportedly raising funds to execute his plans against the Bishnoi gang. To support his operation, Chaudhary has even enlisted a trusted lieutenant. In today’s episode of DNA, Zee News reveals about the potential threat to Lawrence Bishnoi.

Who is Kaushal Chaudhary, the Rival Gangster?

Kaushal Chaudhary, a criminal who started with small offenses in the Delhi-NCR region, is currently incarcerated at Bhondsi Jail. Despite his imprisonment, Chaudhary has managed to coordinate an elaborate plan to challenge Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang.

According to sources, the first evidence of Chaudhary’s intentions emerged from an incident on September 27, where shots were fired at a businessman in Delhi’s Rani Bagh area. Investigations revealed that the businessman was the target of a ₹15 crore extortion demand, and the shooters, upon arrest, were found to be connected to Chaudhary’s gang.

    US-Based Associate Pawan Shaukeen

A pivotal figure in Chaudhary’s plan against Bishnoi is Pawan Shaukeen, a major associate based in Sacramento, USA, who has been managing Chaudhary’s gang operations from abroad.

Shaukeen’s style closely resembles the Bishnoi gang’s methods; like Bishnoi’s associates, he recruits shooters through local contacts. His involvement in arms trafficking enables him to supply his network with weapons—a skill that has made him an essential partner for Chaudhary in his mission to challenge Bishnoi.

The roots of the rivalry between Lawrence Bishnoi and Kaushal Chaudhary trace back to the aftermath of the Sidhu Moosewala murder. During the NIA’s interrogation, Bishnoi reportedly confessed to his animosity toward Chaudhary.

Zee News has obtained exclusive documents that detail Bishnoi’s “hit list,” with Chaudhary’s name appearing alongside other targets, including Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Moosewala’s former manager, Sagunpreet. The document, which bears Bishnoi’s signature, indicates Chaudhary as a direct threat to Bishnoi’s dominance.

Potential for Gang Warfare in Delhi

Given the escalating tensions between the Bishnoi and Chaudhary gangs, authorities fear a violent gang war could erupt in Delhi, similar to the infamous gang battles in Mumbai. If Chaudhary and Shaukeen continue their operations and their feud with Bishnoi intensifies, a bloody conflict may be imminent in the national capital.

  • DNA: Analyzing Bajrang Dal’s ‘Buy Goods From Hindus Only’ Diwali Campaign In MP |

A massive controversy has erupted in Bhopal, the capital city of Madhya Pradesh, over a series of posters put up by the Bajrang Dal, urging people to buy Diwali goods only from Hindus. The posters, which have been installed at major intersections, including the busy Karod Chowk, read: “Apna Tyohar, Apnon Se Hi Vyavhar” (Celebrate your festival with your own people).

The poster further states, “Buy Diwali goods from those who can celebrate Diwali with your purchase.” The Bajrang Dal claims that the initiative aims to promote economic self-reliance within the Hindu community and prevent alleged “thook jihad” (spitting jihad), “land jihad,” and “love jihad.”

In today’s episode of DNA news show, Zee News’ Anant Tyagi analyzed the contentious posters put up by Bajrang Dal in Bhopal, urging Hindus to shop exclusively from fellow Hindus this Diwali.

Our ground report takes you to Karod Chowk in Bhopal, where these posters are hard to miss. We spoke directly with Bajrang Dal leaders to understand their rationale. According to them, the posters aim to combat alleged “spit jihad,” “land jihad,” and “love jihad.” They claim that these posters are a necessary measure to protect Hindu interests.

When questioned by Zee News, Bajrang Dal leaders revealed that the poster was also a response to alleged appeals made by the Muslim community during Eid, urging people to buy goods only from Muslims.

This raises questions about the true intent behind the Diwali posters. Is it a response to the alleged Eid campaign, or is it an attempt to enforce economic segregation?

  • Amid Terror Attacks, Kashmir’s Autumn Beauty Draws Thousands Of Tourists Daily |

Despite two deadly terror attacks near popular tourist destinations in Kashmir, the region continues to welcome hundreds of tourists daily, eager to experience the splendor of autumn. While recent attacks near Gulmarg and Sonamarg resulted in the tragic loss of several lives, including soldiers, these events have done little to dampen the enthusiasm of visitors who have long to see Kashmir’s iconic landscapes and Chinar trees ablaze with autumn colors.

According to recent data, an estimated 7,000–8,000 people visit Kashmir each day, with nearly half of them being tourists. Visitors are filling the valley’s renowned destinations, including the popular ski resorts of Gulmarg and Sonamarg, undeterred by security concerns. Shafa Khan, a tourist from Uttar Pradesh, shared, “We feel very safe here. It’s beautiful, and there’s no fear—just rumors. It truly is like heaven.” Many other visitors echo this sentiment, including Afsha from Rajasthan, who is on her third trip to the region, and Bhavesh from Bengal, who came directly by road to explore Dal Lake and the saffron fields.

The valley has been enjoying a remarkable tourism surge over the last few years. Between January and September this year alone, Kashmir received over 2.6 million visitors, including 35,254 foreign tourists. When factoring in pilgrims and tourists to the Jammu region, a total of 19 million people visited Jammu and Kashmir, including popular pilgrimage sites Amarnath and Vaishno Devi.

Tourism stakeholders in Kashmir initially worried that recent attacks might deter tourists, but the inflow remains steady, and industry optimism is high for the upcoming autumn and winter seasons. Manzoor Pakhtun, a tourism entrepreneur in Kashmir, noted, “Our tourism has increased in recent years, especially with autumn and holiday season upon us. Bookings are coming in, both directly and online, and we’re hopeful this season will be great. We request authorities to promote not just Gulmarg but Sonamarg as well, as it’s a fantastic destination.”

The government of Jammu and Kashmir has also been actively promoting the region as a global tourist destination, recognizing the importance of tourism to the local economy. With tourism contributing approximately 8% to the Union Territory’s GDP and generating over 800 lakh rupees in annual revenue, the sector plays a critical role, supporting about 2.2 million jobs directly and indirectly across Jammu and Kashmir.

To attract more visitors, the government recently hosted events like the Legends League Cricket tournament and the first-ever international marathon in Srinagar. These efforts align with the government’s aim to boost Kashmir’s tourism industry and cement the region as a must-visit destination.

  • AAP Alleges Kejriwal Attacked By ‘BJP Goons’ During ‘Padyatra’ In Delhi’s Vikaspuri |

New Delhi: The Aam Aadami Party (AAP) on Friday alleged that people affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) tried to attack Arvind Kejriwal during his ‘padyatra’ in West Delhi’s Vikaspuri. AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj claimed that BJP’s ‘coward’ attempt was triggered by seeing Kejriwal going among the masses and getting their ‘love and affection’.

Delhi Chief Minister Atishi took to ‘X’ to slam BJP, she wrote, “Today, BJP got @ArvindKejriwal ji attacked during his padyatra in Vikaspuri. First, they filed a fake case against Arvind Kejriwal, arrested him, conspired to kill him by stopping his insulin and when the court released him, BJP is getting its goons to attack him.” She further posted a picture from the ‘padyatra’ showing the individual who reportedly attacked AAP convener Kejriwal. CM Atishi captioned the post, “The man who attacked Arvind Kejriwal today is a BJP goon.”

Meanwhile, AAP’s Bhardwaj charged, “We want to make it clear that if Kejriwal faces any danger to his life or any harm is done to him, only the BJP will be responsible for it.”

However, the BJP has rejected AAP’s claims. Delhi BJP Chief Virendra Sachdeva took a sharp jab at Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging he’s evading accountability when confronted by the public. In a statement to IANS, Sachdeva highlighted, “Why is Kejriwal upset when the public questions him at his doorstep? Today in Vikaspuri, locals confronted him over dirty water, asking him and his MLAs to drink it. This upsets him.”

Sachdeva accused the former Delhi CM of being out of touch with the realities faced by Delhi’s citizens, “After living in a glass palace, you’re no longer used to walking the streets. If questioned, you call it a BJP attack.”
