An investigation into the exam centre’s bank accounts and financial transactions has also begun in the NEET paper leak case. How much amount reached the centres and how much was collected is being investigated. In the investigation so far, 25 cheques of 6 banks, ATM cards have been recovered. The 13 accused, including Sikandar, who have been arrested, have given many important information. The accused had demanded Rs 40 lakh from the complainant. According to the EOU report, 40 students were asked to answer the question paper. At the same time, evidence has been found of dealing of Rs 14 crore to the mafia through Sikandar.

Meanwhile, the EOU probing the NEET paper leak in Bihar called 9 students for questioning on the basis of the rollcode found with the solver gang, out of which only two students turned up for questioning. Both the students were questioned by the EOU for about 2 hours on June 19 ie Wednesday. He was also questioned about the connection with the solver gang, it is being told that those students can be questioned again.

All the evidence and the witnesses are pointing out that the NEET paper was leaked. But neither the NTA nor the government is ready to believe that the paper was indeed leaked. But the question remains the same that if the NET paper is cancelled then why not NEET? And the bigger question is whether cancelling the paper will end the problem. Shouldn’t there be strict action on NTA? NTA should not be scrapped.

  • DNA Exclusive: Who Is India’s ‘Unknown Friend’ Behind The Elimination of Anti-India Operatives in Pakistan? ,

Retired Pakistani Brigadier Amir Hamza, involved in the 2018 Sunjuwan Army Camp attack in India, was shot dead by unknown assailants in Jhelum, Punjab. The attack, targeting him while he was with his wife and daughter, who were injured, has heightened alertness in Pakistan. This follows a series of eliminations of individuals linked to anti-India activities, including Lashkar-e-Taiba commander Khwaja Shahid.

In today’s episode of DNA, Sourav Raj Jain analysed the patterns of similar eliminations of individuals who at times posed threat to India.

He talked about India’s ‘unknown friend’, a term that has become synonymous with fear in Pakistan. For the past few months, every individual in Pakistan who has been involved in any conspiracy against India at any time is being eliminated. This includes those who orchestrated terrorist attacks or provided support for such attacks.

The Indian Army has been stationed at the border with a specific roar in recent years: “We will enter their homes and kill them.” Pakistan is terrified of this roar. While the Indian Army has not received any official signal from the government, their task is being carried out effortlessly by India’s unknown friend, who is infiltrating Pakistan and eliminating terrorists.

  • Delhi Govt says Haryana has refused to release additional water |

New Delhi: Amid the worsening water crisis in Delhi, the AAP government on Tuesday claimed that Haryana has expressed its inability to provide additional water to the national capital on humanitarian grounds.

The BJP slammed the AAP dispensation, saying the Haryana government on Tuesday released data that showed it provided more than 17 per cent excess water to Delhi and claimed Water Minister Atishi was blaming the neighbouring state in a bid to hide her own flaw in addressing the issue of water shortage in the city.

A Delhi government statement said its delegation solicited the release of additional water supplies on humanitarian grounds in a meeting with the Principal Secretary (Water Resources) of Haryana in Chandigarh.

“Haryana government expressed its inability to release additional water to Delhi on humanitarian grounds,” it said.

Atishi stressed the urgency of coordination to mitigate the current water emergency exacerbated by severe heat waves.

The minister had last week requested Haryana to give additional water to Delhi on humanitarian grounds. The Upper Yamuna River Board had advised Delhi and Haryana to hold a bilateral meeting and consider whether Haryana could give extra water to Delhi, the statement said.

Expressing disappointment, Atishi said that the “well-being of our citizens is at stake, and it is imperative that we receive this crucial support without delay”.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva alleged that the “dirty politics” of AAP was responsible for the water crisis in the city.

“Haryana government has today released data showing that they have provided more than 17 per cent excess water to Delhi,” he said and alleged that “lying with confidence is the hallmark of Aam Aadmi Party leaders”.

Sachdeva said that water theft and leaking pipeline system, which should have been fixed over the past 10 years, remain unresolved while Atishi continues to blame Haryana and the BJP to hide her flaws.

Sharing details about counting of votes through postal ballot, the Returning Officer said, “Counting of ETPBS (Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System) happens in physical form (paper ballots) and not electronics as being spread through false narratives.

“Every counting sheet at every table for ETPBS and EVM counting and postal ballot counting (including ETPBS) is signed by all counting agents after due diligence,” she added. The Returning Officer further stated that proceedings are on against the newspaper for “spreading rumours maligning Indian voters and the electoral system.”

Gopi said as he viewed Indira Gandhi as “bharathathinte mathavu” (mother of India), Karunakaran was the ‘father of the Congress party in the state’ for him. He explained that describing Karunakaran as the ‘father’ of the Congress in Kerala was not a disrespect to the founders or co-founders of the grand old party in the southern state.

The actor-turned-politician also hailed the administrative capabilities of the Congress veteran and dubbed him as a ‘courageous administrator’ of his generation.

    Lok Sabha Polls 2024

  • DNA Exclusive: Analysis of why Modi Govt 2.0’s Agnipath scheme is under review |

Modi government 2.0’s ambitious Agnipath Scheme, which sparked outrage among Armed Forces aspirants and Opposition parties both inside and outside Parliament, is being reviewed. As the National Democratic Alliance’s allies expressed their displeasure with the appointment of Agniveers under the Agnipath scheme, the Centre expressed its willingness to address the issues and promised to make significant changes to it. The BJP-led NDA government has formed a panel of secretaries from at least ten ministries to review the scheme and discuss how to make it more lucrative and rewarding for young recruits.

In today’s DNA episode, Zee News’ Saurabh Raaj Jain analysed the reasons for the government’s review of the contentious Agnipath scheme.

The secretaries are expected to make recommendations on how to improve the short-term recruitment programme under the Agnipath scheme. The scheme became a key election issue during the campaign, with opposition parties vowing to scrap it if elected.

The panel of secretaries is expected to make a final presentation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi once he returns from the G7 Summit in Italy. A detailed presentation may be made to the Prime Minister on June 17 or 18.

The Indian Army is also believed to be conducting an internal assessment of the scheme and will likely submit its findings to the government.

The Prime Minister’s Office is likely to make a final decision on the changes after considering all recommendations and feedback from stakeholders. The review of the Agnipath scheme is also included in the Modi government’s first 100-day agenda, so “necessary amends” to the scheme are likely in the near future.

The first question is why was it necessary to change the Agnipath scheme. According to sources, three major reasons for this emerged from the Army’s Internal Survey. Politics aside, the current Agnipath scheme’s provisions have not been as effective in attracting young people to become Agniveers as the government had hoped.

  • Mata Kheer Bhawani Festival: Security Measures Stepped Up After Multiple Terror Attacks In J&K |

A three-tier security arrangement has been put in place for the annual festival at the Mata Kheer Bhawani temple in Ganderbal. The 5-km area around the temple will be under the surveillance of security forces, aerial surveillance will be done by drones and every activity will be monitored through CCTVs.

After terrorists targeted the bus of pilgrims in Reasi district, it seems that terrorists have changed their modus operandi to disturb peace in Jammu and Kashmir. The festival season has begun in Kashmir with the first celebration of Mata Kheer Bhawani festival, the authorities have decided not to take any risk regarding this festival, as thousands of Kashmiri Pandits from different parts of the country and the world started arriving at the temple a week in advance.

This time the authorities have decided to bring the devotees from Jammu to the temple located in Tullamulla town of Ganderbal district in a protected convey. The convoy will be escorted from Jammu to the temple and the same security exercise will be carried out after the festival is over.

Security forces have been deployed in and around the temple complex a week before the festival. Every devotee entering the premises is thoroughly checked and has to undergo an X-ray, also all items of worship are checked by the police before entering the temple.

Jammu Kashmir Police, CRPF and Army are providing security in and around the temple. An area of about 5 km has been cordoned off and is being guarded by security forces. Apart from manual security, technology is also used to prevent any kind of threat or untoward incident.

SSP Ganderbal Sandeep Gupta said, “We have made all the necessary arrangements so that no incident happens during this festival. Apart from the Jammu Kashmir Police, we have also taken help from CRPF and the Army. Gupta said that if the terrorists change their strategy, then we also keep that in mind and make our preparations.”

Devotees who have already reached the temple are praising the arrangements made by the district administration and Darmath trusts. Special tents in the temple premises and rooms outside the temple have been kept open for the devotees with free langar services.

Pushpa Devi, who came to the festival, said, “There was a little fear but seeing the arrangements here, that fear has also gone. This time better arrangements have been made compared to previous years. And we hope that double of devotees will come to the temple this year as compared to previous years.”

Mata Kheer Bhawani temple is very famous among Kashmiri Pandits. Most of them worship her as their Kuldevi. There is a popular belief that the colour of the spring of the goddess inside the temple predicts the events happening for the rest of the year.

Pandits say that in 1990, when the local Pandits left the valley, the colour of the spring was black. Similarly, the elders say that when there was a tribal invasion of Kashmir in 1947, that year also the water of the holy spring turned black and during the Kargil war it turned black and during Covid it turned red and if the colour of this holy spring turns red or black then something bad is going to happen to humanity all over the world but if the colour is light blue or white then it predicts that that year will be full of happiness and good events. And this year its colour is light blue.

“When the Kargil war happened the colour of this spring was black and when Covid came the water turned red. Mata gives indications in advance of what the future holds,” a female devotee, Goga Kalu said.

Kheer Bhawani temple festival also remains a great example of Hindu-Muslim brotherhood in Kashmir. Local Muslims living around the temple serve milk, flowers and other things used for worship to the devotees visiting the temple.

Kheer Bhawani Mandir temple is dedicated to Mata Maharagya Bhagwati which was built over a holy spring. The temple is associated with Goddess Ragyana Devi who is also worshipped as Raginya or Kheer Bhawani and is an incarnation of Maa Durga.
