    Powering the Hyundai AURA Hy-CNG E trim is a 1.2L Bi-Fuel naturally aspirated petrol mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. In this CNG guise, this powertrain returns an output of 67 bhp and 95.2 Nm of peak torque.

Archer Harvinder Singh made history at the Paris Paralympics by becoming the first-ever Indian archer to win a Paralympic gold. On Wednesday, he triumphed over Poland’s Lukasz Ciszek in the final of the men’s individual recurve open event.

    Harvinder Singh then sealed a place in the final with another steady performance, shooting two 9s and an eight for a 26-25 win after the Iranian started with a 10 but faltered for an eight and seven on his next two arrows.

    Earlier, Harvinder, who had bagged a bronze medal in the Tokyo Paralympic Games after losing in the semifinals, got the better of Colombia’s Julio Ramirez Hector 6-2 in a quarterfinal clash.

  • AU Small Finance Bank Submits Application To RBI For Universal Bank License. Economy News

    New Delhi: AU Small Finance Bank (AUSFB) on Tuesday submitted an application to the RBI seeking approval for a universal bank license. The RBI in April invited applications from small finance banks meeting specified criteria, including a minimum net worth of Rs 1,000 crore, for becoming regular or universal banks.

    AUSFB submitted an application to the central bank seeking approval for the voluntary transition from a small finance bank to a universal bank on September 3, 2024, the lender said in a BSE filing.

    In November 2014, the RBI issued guidelines for the licensing of small finance banks (SFBs) in the private sector. As per the April guidelines of RBI, an SFB aiming to become a universal bank should have a minimum net worth of Rs 1,000 crore at the end of the previous quarter and shares of the bank should have been listed on a recognized stock exchange.

    It should also have a net profit in the last two financial years and gross NPA and net NPA of less than or equal to 3 per cent and 1 per cent, respectively, in the last two financial years.

    Jaipur-based AUSFB acquired Fincare Small Finance Bank, and the merger became effective on April 1 this year. With the merger, the total business mix of the merged entity crossed Rs 1.8 lakh crore.

  • New FASTag Design Targets Misuse Of Smaller Vehicle Tags On Larger Vehicles— Details Here | Economy News

    New Delhi: The State Bank of India has introduced a new FASTag design which is aimed at addressing the misuse of smaller vehicle tags on larger vehicles to avoid higher toll charges. This updated FASTag is specifically designed for Vehicle Class-4 (VC-04) which encompasses cars, jeeps and vans, as reported by Economic Times. The new tag has been available since August 30, 2024.

    Why Was the New FASTag Design Introduced?

    The new FASTag design was introduced to address the issue of incorrect tags being used on higher-class vehicles like trucks. The misuse of VC-04 tags on these larger vehicles has been causing financial losses for toll plazas, the Economic Times quoted SBI as saying. The updated design aims to make it easier to identify vehicle classes, allowing toll staff to quickly address any misclassifications and prevent revenue loss, as per the report.

    On August 30, 2024, SBI introduced several new products. Among them is India’s first MTS card, the MTS RuPay NCMC prepaid card. This card offers a convenient offline payment option for various transit services, including metro rails, buses, ferries, tolls, and parking.

    SBI also launched the OneView mobile application. This app allows customers to easily manage their NCMC prepaid cards, including topping up, tracking, and overseeing their usage all from one platform.

    “The Nation First MTS Card, issued without the need for KYC verification, along with the OneView app, streamlines card management, making it easier for users to top-up without the need to visit metro or bus counters,” said Mahesh Kumar Sharma, Deputy Managing Director of Transaction Banking and New Initiatives at SBI.
