  • 5 Naxalites surrendered with a reward of Rs 5 lakh, influenced by ‘Niyad Nella Naar’ scheme and left the path of violence

    Suresh Partagiri, Bijapur. Inspired by the impact of the government’s important ‘Niyad Nella Naar’ scheme, five Maoists have decided to give up the path of violence by surrendering before the police. A Maoist carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh is also included among those who surrendered. It is being told that all these Maoists have been involved in violent incidents like firing, ID blasts and arson.

    All five Maoists surrendered in the presence of CRPF DIG Devendra Singh Negi, Superintendent of Police Dr Jitendra Yadav, DSP Sudeep Sarkar, DSP Dinesh Sinha and other senior officers. The surrendered Maoists have been given a cash incentive of Rs 25,000 each by the police. So far in the year 2024, a total of 185 Maoists have surrendered before the police, while 411 Maoists have been arrested.

  • CG News: Dantewada Police rescues 4 laborers and minors held hostage in Andhra Pradesh, two accused arrested

    Dantewada. Dantewada Police has achieved great success in the incident of four laborers and minors from Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh being held hostage and tortured in Andhra Pradesh. The police conducted the operation within 26 hours and rescued all the workers safely. Along with this, two accused have also been arrested. Police arrested the accused from Kotapalli in Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh and sent them to jail in judicial custody today.

    According to the information, applicant Prema Mandvi, resident of Telam, Police Station Katekalyan, lodged a report with the police that the manager of a shrimp company located in Kurtevainu, Andhra Pradesh, called her for work on the pretext of good salary, free food and medical facilities. Prema Mandvi along with 6 other friends from his village went to work in a prawn company, where his job was to feed prawns and cut grass. When these laborers and children asked for wages, the supervisors beat them, took them hostage and forced them to work. Somehow Prema Mandvi escaped from there and informed about the incident at Katekalyan police station.

    On the instructions of Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rai, a team of Dantewada Police under the guidance of Additional Superintendents of Police Smriti Rajnala and Ramkumar Barman left for Kurtevainu, Andhra Pradesh. With the help of the local police, the police safely rescued the hostage laborers Linga Mandavi, Budhram Mandavi and the children.

The population of about 11,000 villages of Darwaza, Kanseri, Akhrar, Khamhi, Ghanaghat, Dongria, Karidongri, Jakarbandha, Khudia, Mahamai and Lamani will benefit from this bridge.

    Construction will be done at a cost of Rs 581 lakh

    The construction of the bridge will be 120 meters long and its cost has been fixed at Rs 581 lakh. A target has been set to complete the construction work in one year. The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials of the Public Works Department to ensure quality in the construction of the bridge and complete the work within the time limit.

    On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Sao said, “Under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, continuous efforts are being made for development in the state. Many schemes are being run for the welfare of villages, poor, farmers, youth, and women. Various construction works including roads, bridges, culverts are being done on priority in the district.”

    Collector Rahul Dev congratulated the residents of the area on the bhoomi pujan and foundation stone laying of the bridge in village Karidongri and said that this bridge was a much awaited demand, which is being fulfilled today.

  • Chhattisgarh: Middle school teacher used to do obscene acts with girl students, Collector suspended him

    Abhishek Semar, Takhatpur. Ram Murat Kaushik, a teacher of Sakri Pre-Secondary School of Takhatpur development block, has been suspended on charges of indecent behavior with girl students. According to the order issued by Joint Director Education Bilaspur, the girl students had complained against the teacher to Collector Bilaspur.

    Let us tell you that after coming to the notice of the matter, the Collector, considering the seriousness of the matter, got an immediate investigation done by SDM Takhatpur and District Education Officer. During the investigation, the officials found the complaint to be true, which made it clear that Ram Murat Kaushik had committed obscene acts with the girl students studying in the school.

    The Collector said in the suspension order that this act of teacher Ram Murat Kaushik is contrary to official dignity and violates Clause 3 of Chhattisgarh Civil Service (Conduct) Rules 1965, which brings it in the category of serious misconduct. He said that as per the proposal received by District Education Officer Bilaspur, Ram Murat Kaushik has been suspended with immediate effect and his headquarters has been fixed at Development Block Education Officer Office Takhatpur. During the suspension period, Ram Murat Kaushik will be eligible for subsistence allowance as per rules.

During this, the President will transfer the amount of 9th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana, amounting to Rs 651.37 crore, online to the bank accounts of 70 lakh women of Chhattisgarh state before Diwali by pressing a remote button.

    Let us tell you that this event of distribution of the amount of 9th installment under Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be held from 5.15 pm to 6.30 pm at Purkhauti Muktangan located in Nava Raipur.     5227 crores have been paid so far under the scheme

    Under Mahtari Vandan Yojana, financial assistance of Rs 1,000 per month is being provided by the state government to about 70 lakh women of the state above 21 years of age. Till now, Rs 5227 crore has been paid to the beneficiary women in the state in 8 monthly installments through DBT. President Smt. Draupadi Murmu will transfer the amount of the 9th installment to the accounts of the beneficiary women on October 25. On this occasion, two beneficiary women of Mahtari Vandan Yojana will also share their experiences before the President.
