State Bureau, Naiduniya, Bhopal: Nearly one lakh employees in Madhya Pradesh will not be transferred for two months. With the publication of the draft voter list on Tuesday, October 29, transfers of officers and employees engaged in election work will not be possible.
Collector, SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and booth level officers will come under its ambit. The final publication of the voter list will take place on January 6, 2025. If transfer during this period is necessary from administrative point of view, then prior permission will have to be taken from the Election Commission.
Voter list is getting ready
The state voter list is being prepared as on January 1, 2025. Its draft will be published at all district headquarters on Tuesday. After this, applications will be taken for addition, deletion and modification of names. Booth level officers will sit at 64,523 polling stations. Special camps will be organized and door-to-door survey will also be conducted.
Transfers of officers and employees stopped
Transfers of officers and employees engaged in preparing the voter list will not be possible until the final publication of the list. Its scope will include District Election Officer and Collector, Registration Officer, Additional Collector, Joint Collector, SDM, Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar and other officers.
Apart from this, 64,523 booth level officers (teachers, Patwari and others) will also not be transferred without the prior approval of the Election Commission. The final publication of the voter list will take place on January 6, 2025.
