The vibrant city of Wuhan in Hubei Province became the epicenter of global trade discussions as the 2026 China Conference and Exhibition Economy International Cooperation Forum unfolded successfully from mid-week to Friday. At this pivotal gathering, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) launched the ‘China Exhibition Economy Development Report 2025′, detailing the sector’s stellar performance.

China’s homegrown exhibitions thrived with consistent advancement, setting fresh records in both volume and scale. Data reveals 4,095 domestic economic-trade exhibitions in 2025, boasting a total floor space of 159 million square meters – reflecting growth rates of 6.53% in events and 2.5% in area over 2024.

Internationally, exhibitions by Chinese organizers abroad exhibited overall steadiness and refined compositions, with persistent increases in count. Machinery, transportation, and logistics sectors topped the list for overseas engagements by Chinese companies.

Consumer products industries posted impressive gains in project numbers, indicative of firms’ strategies to deepen global market integration.

This insightful report accentuates the exhibition sector’s robust expansion, internal market reliability, and widening international ties in China. It serves as a beacon for industry players eyeing collaborative ventures in this rapidly evolving economic landscape.
