The music community is in mourning following the death of Zubeen Garg, who tragically passed away while scuba diving in Singapore. The North East India Festival in Singapore confirmed the devastating news. Assam’s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is overseeing the process of repatriating the singer’s mortal remains. The post-mortem has been completed in Singapore. The mortal remains are in the process of being handed over to the accompanying team consisting of Shri Shekar Jothi Goswami, Shri Sandeepan Garg, and Shri Siddharth Sharma (Manager), with the presence of Indian Embassy officials. Reports indicate that Garg suffered breathing difficulties while scuba diving and received immediate medical assistance, including CPR, before being taken to Singapore General Hospital. Sadly, he was pronounced dead in the ICU. Zubeen Garg began his professional music career in 1992 with the release of his debut album ‘Anamika’. He recorded his first songs, ‘Tumi Junu Pariba Hun’ and ‘Tumi Junaki Hubakh’ in 1993. His first bihu album, Ujan Piriti, was released before he moved to Mumbai in 1995. He achieved widespread fame with the song ‘Ya Ali’ from the film ‘Gangster’ in 2006.
