CEO Directs Jharkhand Agencies for Fair Bihar Elections

Jharkhand’s election machinery is fully geared up for the Bihar Assembly polls, with Chief Electoral Officer Ravi Kumar issuing decisive instructions to all enforcement agencies. The CEO emphasized the need for robust coordination, both internally among Jharkhand’s agencies and externally with Bihar’s election units, to uphold a free and fair electoral environment. Recognizing the sensitive border regions, especially the 10 bordering districts, Kumar has mandated strict surveillance at all mirror checkposts. The objective is to prevent the illegal transit of cash, alcohol, drugs, and any materials intended to influence voters. Agencies are empowered to conduct raids, dismantle illegal operations like liquor distilleries, and pursue thorough investigations into the source of any illegal seizures.
