    Bilaspur. The Chhattisgarh High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail application of 4 accused in the CGMSC 411 crore medical equipment procurement scam. Justice Sinha said that his role has been revealed in the preliminary investigation of ACB-Eow. Therefore, anticipatory bail cannot be granted.

    Order to purchase 411 crore in 26-27 days

    In fact, the Health Department started the process of purchasing equipment and machines in the year 2021. CGMSC (Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation Limited) issued an order to purchase 411 crore in 26-27 days.

    It is alleged that the need for machines was not properly assessed. There was also no storage facility. Still a large number of machines were purchased. There was no system of maintenance of the reagent, yet the health centers were stored.

    Bought a tube of Rs 8.50 for Rs 2352

    At the same time, on behalf of CGMSC officials, it was purchased without following the process of giving personal benefits to the company supplying the reagent. It is also alleged that the EDTA tube was purchased at the rate of Rs 2352 per night, while other institutions were buying the same tube for Rs 8.50. This led to a loss of crores.

    Tender disturbances, 4 companies together forgery

    The firm Recordrs and Medicare Systems, which supplied drug-coverage, are accused of disturbing the tender with Makshy Corporation and other companies. The products of the four companies were the same.

    This suspected collusion in the tender process. In the case, ACB-Eow has registered a case under Section 120-B, 409 IPC and Section 13 (2), 13 (1) (A), 7 (C) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

    Firm’s promoters and employees applied anticipatory bail

    After registering the case, ACB-Eow team has arrested Shashank, director of Le Makshit Corporation. After which the promoter of the firm, employees of Punjab and Haryana, Avinesh Kumar, Rajesh Gupta, Abhishek Kaushal and Neeraj Gupta filed an anticipatory bail petition to escape the possible arrest.

    It said that he is not named in the FIR. There is no direct charge against him. He is only the company employees, promoters, directors and executive directors. He had no role in the tender process.

    The government said- fears of tender disturbances

    On behalf of the state government, Deputy Advocate General Dr. Saurabh Pandey protested against anticipatory bail, saying that Recorders and Medicare Systems, along with Makshy Corporation and Mr. Sharda Industries, performed pool tendering. The names, packages and rates of the regulations of the three companies were the same. this is not normal. It is clear that the tender was disturbed.

    Avinesh Kumar is accused of preparing documents related to the tender. He was involved in the tender of CGMSCL. Investigation also revealed that Shashank Chopra, partner of Makshy Corporation, used to work as a lions for the previous recorders and medicare systems. This led to already relations between the two companies.

    High court rejected anticipatory bail application

    The High Court said that the investigation of the case is in the initial stage. Many co-accused have been detained. His involvement in the scam of 411 crore is prima facie. On this basis, the High Court has rejected the anticipatory bail plea of ​​Rajesh Gupta, Abhishek Kaushal, Neeraj Gupta and Avinesh Kumar.
