Ranchi. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren finally joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Two days ago on Wednesday, he resigned from the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and also resigned from the ministerial post and the assembly. On Friday, 30 August, in a program at Shaheed Maidan in Dhurwa, Ranchi, BJP election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chauhan and co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma got him enrolled as a member of the BJP.
On this occasion, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that Champai Soren’s arrival will strengthen the BJP. Targeting Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, he said that JMM is now a party of husband, wife and brokers. After joining BJP, Champai Soren said – I am clean at heart, I never thought that I would be spied upon. A spy was put behind the person who fought for Jharkhand. After that day, we decided that we will join the party and serve the people.
While resigning from the primary membership of JMM on Wednesday, 28 August, Champai had said- Whatever decision we have taken, we have taken it in the interest of Jharkhand. We are people who struggle, we will not back down. Whatever responsibility the party gives us, we will work accordingly. Along with development in Jharkhand, we will take steps to save the existence of tribals. Meanwhile, a day after Champai Soren resigned from the post of minister, Ghatsila MLA Ramdas Soren has been made a minister in the Hemant Soren government.
However, Champai Soren said- Spies have been put behind me for the last six months, I have proof. Hemant ji, let the BJP government come, there will be a full account. IG Prabhat Kumar ji, there will be an account after two months. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said- Champai Soren took membership of BJP today. The tiger is still alive. Champai ji spent his life in the creation of Jharkhand, it was because of such workers and leaders that Atal ji had created a separate Jharkhand. The Champai Soren who nurtured JMM like a gardener, now it has become a party of only husband, wife and brokers.
