    Sheopur. A cub of female cheetah Gamini in Kuno was found to have a fracture in the spine. On July 29, it was brought to the hospital for treatment. The cub was kept under close observation, but on Monday its condition deteriorated and it died despite treatment.

    Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Director of Lion Project, Uttam Kumar Sharma said that on July 29, at 6.30 pm, one of the five cubs of female cheetah Gamini was unable to lift the hind part of its body and was seen dragging its body while walking.

    He was brought to the hospital for tests. During treatment, a fracture was found in the cub’s spine, so he was kept under close observation, but suddenly on Monday his health deteriorated. He died during treatment.

    All other cheetahs and cubs under observation

    On March 10, female cheetah Gamini gave birth to six cubs. One of these cubs died on June 5. Now there are 13 adult cheetahs and 12 cubs in Kuno. The adult cheetahs have been given necessary treatment to prevent other parasitic infections. All the cheetahs are being monitored regularly.
