The Chhattisgarh Assembly’s monsoon session is scheduled to commence on July 14th. The upcoming five-day session is expected to be highly charged, with members from the opposition and the ruling party submitting numerous questions for the government.

The questions submitted to the Assembly Secretariat highlight key issues such as fertilizer shortages affecting farmers, challenges in law and order, allegations of corruption in government schemes, negligence in official duties, local issues, and the failure of government initiatives. The opposition is determined to keep the government under pressure throughout the session.

In anticipation of the session, a BJP legislative party meeting took place on Sunday. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai confirmed that the ruling party is fully prepared to respond to the opposition’s questions. Commenting on the DAP fertilizer shortage, Sai acknowledged that it is a problem across the country, not limited to Chhattisgarh, citing reduced imports as a contributing factor. The government is focused on promoting NPK fertilizer as a solution.
