    Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met with Manoj Joshi, Secretary of the Department of Land Resources, Government of India, at his office in the Vidhan Sabha complex. The meeting focused on bolstering the land records system, utilizing technological advancements in land surveying, and accelerating the resolution of pending cases in revenue courts. Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma was also in attendance.

    Chief Minister Sai affirmed the state’s dedication to updating land revenue documents and making necessary improvements. He underscored that well-maintained revenue records would expedite case resolutions in revenue courts. He also affirmed the state’s commitment to partnering with the central government on all land record improvement initiatives, making the system more efficient and beneficial for citizens.

    The Chief Minister noted the central government’s efforts to enhance transparency, speed, and accuracy in land revenue records through technology-based initiatives, which will directly benefit farmers and the general public. He instructed revenue department officials to take prompt action to ensure necessary steps are implemented.

    Secretary Joshi highlighted that land records in Chhattisgarh are in a relatively good state, with ongoing improvements through state government collaboration. He mentioned that modern technologies have made land surveying faster, more accurate, and more reliable.

    Joshi also stated that the central government is making special efforts to strengthen the land record maintenance system, providing financial and technical support to states. Digital surveying is being used to resolve technical issues encountered when updating maps during land transactions, delivering up-to-date and verified maps, reducing discrepancies and aiding in urban planning.
