During his visit to Japan, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai engaged in discussions with senior representatives of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Tokyo, including Kazuo Nakajo, Yuji Endo, and Harunobu Hara. The discussions focused on the possibilities of investment and industrial cooperation. The meeting highlighted Chhattisgarh’s extensive potential in IT, textiles, aerospace, automobiles, electronics, and clean energy. The Chief Minister invited JETRO representatives to explore new investment prospects within the state’s rapidly growing economy.
Chief Minister Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh is an emerging industrial and investment destination in India. The state government is committed to attracting global investors through transparent policies, simplified procedures, and a robust industrial infrastructure. The discussions with JETRO are expected to open new avenues for economic collaboration between Chhattisgarh and Japan. During his visit, the Chief Minister also observed the ‘Deep Space – To the Moon & Beyond’ exhibition, held to mark National Space Day.
On this occasion, he mentioned that the exhibition of space science and innovations would provide direction and motivation to the Space Manufacturing Cluster being developed in the Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh with support from the Indian government. Chief Minister Sai expressed his confidence that the Japan visit would result in tangible outcomes in the areas of investment, innovation, and technology transfer. He stated that the Chhattisgarh government’s goal is to make the state not only industrially self-sufficient but also to establish a strong presence on the global stage through international partnerships.
