Raipur – Monday will see the presentation of all accused, including Navya Malik and Vidhi Agarwal, in the high-profile drug case in Chhattisgarh. The police have currently arrested nine individuals connected to the case.

Following the conclusion of a two-day remand, Navya Malik and Vidhi Agarwal were presented before a special court on September 6th. The court subsequently ordered their judicial remand until September 15th. Scheduled to appear in court are Navya Malik, Ayan Parvez, Vidhi Agarwal, Rishiraj Tandon, Sohail Khan, Junaid Akhtar, Harsh Ahuja, and Monu Vishnoi. All have been arrested in connection with the ongoing investigation.

Interrogation has revealed key details. Police sources indicate that Navya and Vidhi frequently traveled to Mumbai and Goa, where they attended parties attended by youths from privileged families. They provided the police with information on various venues, including hotels, resorts, clubs, and farmhouses located in Raipur, Nava Raipur, Mandir Hasaud, VIP Road, and Chandkhuri, which hosted these gatherings. Furthermore, Vidhi’s event company, ‘Behind The Scenes,’ organized numerous events, including New Year celebrations, at prominent hotels and venues in Raipur.

The investigation uncovered that the parties often began with 25-30 attendees but would dwindle to around 10-15 by the early hours of the morning. Drug use and instances of inappropriate conduct were also observed at the farmhouses. Furthermore, the accused were connected with influential individuals, including industrialists, businesspeople, Chartered Accountants, and officials from both the police and administrative sectors, and had admitted to partying with them. Police have secured mobile phone chats from the suspects, which are being used to compile a list of drug users. These individuals will be invited for counseling sessions, and their families will be informed due to many parents being unaware of their children’s activities. The police are now preparing to question the owners of the farmhouses and clubs involved.

The police’s ‘Operation Nishchay’ has yielded results. Acting on information provided by the arrested Navya and Ayan Parvez, an additional four drug peddlers were apprehended on Thursday. Those arrested include Vidhi Agarwal, Rishiraj Tandon, Sohail Khan, and Junaid Akhtar. Vidhi Agarwal and Rishiraj Tandon were key event managers in the city’s party circuit. Sohail Khan and Junaid Akhtar are considered close associates of Navya and Ayan. In total, nine individuals have been arrested to date.

Previously, Harsh Ahuja, Monu Vishnoi, and Deep Dhanoria were apprehended. Authorities seized 27.58 grams of MDMA, 85,300 rupees in cash, a vehicle, and five mobile phones. Following this, Navya Malik and Ayan Parvez were also arrested. In the latest action, an additional four individuals were arrested. Those arrested are currently being questioned by law enforcement regarding their affiliations and the broader network of connections. Further investigations into other suspects are underway, based on these connections.

The case originally came to light on August 23, 2025, when a joint operation by the Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Ganj police station led to the detention of a car near the Devendra Nagar overbridge. Harsh Ahuja (23), a resident of Raipur, Monu Vishnoi (29), from Hisar, Haryana, and Deep Dhanoria (41), of Raipur, were arrested. The police recovered 27.58 grams of MDMA drugs, a Sonet car (CG 04 QJ 5466), 85,300 rupees in cash, and five mobile phones. The estimated value of the seized items totaled approximately 20 lakh rupees. As a result, a case was filed at Ganj police station under sections 21(C) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
