Security forces neutralized four Maoists in an encounter in the Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh on July 26, 2025. The incident occurred in a forest in the southwestern part of the district during an anti-Maoist operation. The security forces were acting on information regarding the presence of Maoists in the area. After the encounter, the bodies of four Maoists were found, along with a large cache of weapons, including INSAS and SLR rifles. Earlier, in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district, on July 16, 2025, a joint operation targeting a CPI Maoist group led to an exchange of fire. This resulted in the recovery of two bodies and the death of a soldier from the 209 Battalion.
