Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s cabinet has taken a giant leap toward making Chhattisgarh a technology leader by approving a strategic MoU with the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI). During the latest meeting at the CM’s residence, the government announced the setting up of four new entrepreneurship centers in Nava Raipur. These centers are designed to act as incubators for innovation in high-growth sectors such as AI and MedTech. By focusing on forest-product-based medicine and smart urban solutions, the state intends to create a specialized ecosystem that caters to the unique strengths of the region.

To complement this technological push, the Cabinet also approved the development of an Electronics System Design and Development (ESDD) center. This facility will provide crucial support to students, researchers, and small-scale industries in creating hardware prototypes. Every year, dozens of MSMEs and hardware startups will receive technical assistance, bridging the gap between conceptual design and physical production. This infrastructure is expected to accelerate the growth of the IT and ITES industries within the state, creating high-value jobs for the local youth.

On the administrative front, the Cabinet gave its nod to the Excise Policy for the 2026-27 period. This early approval allows departments to prepare the necessary groundwork for the next financial year. By combining industrial foresight with administrative readiness, the Chhattisgarh government is signaling a pro-growth agenda that prioritizes both economic stability and technological advancement. The integration of technology in agriculture and medicine through these new centers highlights a visionary approach to the state’s traditional sectors.
