    The Chhattisgarh High Court celebrated its silver jubilee, with Governor Rame Deka as the chief guest. Governor Deka highlighted the essential role of the courts in safeguarding the rights of citizens and making justice accessible to all members of society. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai reaffirmed the government’s dedication to providing justice in a timely manner, backed by infrastructure development and allocation of resources. A commemorative souvenir was released at the event. The silver jubilee celebration, held on Saturday, commenced with the lighting of a lamp. Governor Deka, Chief Minister Sai, and other guests were presented with gifts. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, Finance Minister OP Chaudhary, Law Minister Gajendra Yadav, and former Governor Ramesh Bais.

    Governor Deka expressed his honor in addressing the gathering, and reminisced about the establishment of the Chhattisgarh High Court in November 2000, which coincided with the formation of the new state. He recognized the court’s function as the interpreter of the constitution and the protector of civil rights, and commended the court’s role as the guardian of justice. Governor Deka acknowledged the court’s successes in resolving pending cases through Lok Adalats, emphasizing the need for accessible justice for all. Chief Minister Sai noted the silver jubilee of the High Court, as well as the Legislative Assembly, and offered his congratulations. He paid tribute to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, whose vision was instrumental in the creation of the state and the High Court. The Chief Minister also emphasized the government’s commitment to justice delivery and its increased budget for the Law and Legislative Department. The growing popularity of law careers among the youth was also addressed.

    Supreme Court Justice JK Maheshwari underscored the importance of ethical behavior in the pursuit of justice, while Central Minister Tokhan Sahu recognized the High Court’s contributions to the constitution and democracy over the past 25 years. Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha delivered the welcome speech, celebrating the court’s accomplishments. Justice Sanjay K. Agrawal offered the vote of thanks. The celebration was attended by various distinguished personalities, including Deputy Chief Ministers, ministers, judges, legal professionals, and other officials.
