In Korba, Chhattisgarh, a 13-year-old has been arrested in connection with the alleged assault of a two-and-a-half-year-old child. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Civil Lines police station. The victim’s mother discovered the alleged assault and intervened, apprehending the accused. The police were then contacted. The juvenile has been taken into custody and brought before the Child Welfare Committee. The incident took place in the Rampur area. The victim’s family was residing in a rented property. The child’s mother was returning from work at a hospital when she found her child unattended at their residence. Upon entering, she found the landlord’s 13-year-old son in the act of assaulting her toddler. She promptly took action, catching the perpetrator and alerting the neighbors before the police were contacted. Following the incident, the landlord, the father of the accused, demonstrated a lack of compassion for the victim’s family. The landlord threatened the family and asked them to leave the rental property immediately. As a result of the landlord’s actions, the family was forced to leave their home, worsening their situation. The Civil Lines Rampur police swiftly responded to the incident. The accused teenager was arrested and presented before the Child Welfare Committee. The investigation is ongoing, with the police reviewing all legal aspects of the case. The event has become a focal point of conversation in the area, with the local community expressing condemnation of the crime and the landlord’s insensitive response.
