In Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, a clash between Naxals and security forces led to the elimination of two Maoists. The security forces recovered the bodies of the deceased Maoists from the site, along with an AK-47, various weapons, and a substantial quantity of explosive materials. Intelligence indicated the presence of a large number of Maoists in the Abujhmad area, which spans the Maharashtra-Chhattisgarh border, suggesting they were planning an attack. Following this, security forces initiated a search operation. The Naxals opened fire on the approaching security forces, which led to an exchange of fire. The security forces successfully neutralized two Maoists in the ensuing firefight. Sporadic firing continues between the Naxals and security forces. Besides the bodies, the forces also recovered an AK-47 rifle, additional weapons, a considerable amount of explosive materials, Maoist literature, propaganda material, and other items of daily use. The search operation is still underway, and more detailed information will be provided after the operation is complete. Moreover, a significant achievement was the destruction of a Naxal memorial in Otherbeda and Wattekel villages by the Narayanpur police, along with the ITBP. The memorial was erected by the Naxals to commemorate those killed in the Thulthuli encounter, with the intention of spreading fear and promoting their ideology among the villagers.
