    Chhattisgarh’s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, revealed a significant incentive program for athletes participating in the Olympics, during the annual general meeting of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association held at the Circuit House in Raipur. The meeting addressed critical matters such as the approval of the 2024-25 audit report, the presentation and approval of the 2025-26 annual budget, and the appointment of auditors for the same period.

    CM Sai emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting and developing sports talent in Chhattisgarh. The government has revived the sports awards ceremony and is planning an outstanding player honor ceremony. The Chief Minister also highlighted the establishment of new Khelo India complexes across Chhattisgarh. He referenced discussions with the Union Sports Minister regarding expanding sports infrastructure and announced special preparations to motivate athletes for the Olympics. The state will award three crore rupees to gold medalists, two crore rupees to silver medalists, and one crore rupees to bronze medalists.

    CM Sai underscored the government’s efforts to increase the sports budget and encourage corporate participation. He also brought up the proposal for India to host the 2036 Olympic Games in Ahmedabad, signaling the central government’s focus on bolstering the nation’s sports infrastructure. He advocated for similar endeavors within Chhattisgarh to host national sports events.

    Cabinet Minister and Association Vice President Kedar Kashyap addressed the gathering, acknowledging the success of initiatives like the Bastar Olympics. General Secretary Vikram Sisodia presented the secretary’s report, with the event also attended by Vice Presidents Himanshu Dwivedi and Gajraj Pagaria, Treasurer Sanjay Mishra, and numerous other sports officials and members.
