Chhattisgarh Voters: Check Draft Rolls as 27 Lakh+ Names Removed

The Election Commission has released the draft electoral rolls for Chhattisgarh after conducting a Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which has led to the removal of over 27 lakh names. This rigorous revision process aims to purify the voter list by ensuring only eligible individuals remain, upholding transparency at every step. The SIR saw a strong response, with more than 1.84 crore electors submitting their enumeration forms. The deletions were categorized into deceased voters (6.42 lakh), electors who had moved or were absent (19.13 lakh), and duplicate entries (1.79 lakh).
