Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated 51 Mahtari Sadans, commencing from Kareli Badi village in the Magarlod development block of Dhamtari district. He emphasized the Mahtari Sadan Yojana, launched during Navratri, as essential for the advancement of the state’s women.

The Chief Minister explained that the government initiated the construction of Mahtari Sadans to create communal spaces in villages, allowing women to collaborate and work together. This project has now been accomplished.

The event was attended by Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Vijay Sharma, Revenue Minister Tankram Verma, Lok Sabha MP Roop Kumari Chaudhary, and other officials. The Chief Minister awarded the Mahtari Sadan transfer certificate to the women’s group members of Aastha Mahila Sankul Sangathan Kareli Badi and planted a Maulsree tree sapling.

Sai highlighted that these Sadans will empower women, fostering respect and self-reliance. He said that the Sadans will provide opportunities for education, skills development, and entrepreneurship, and that economic activities would be encouraged by involving women’s self-help groups. Programs in sewing, embroidery, handicrafts, agricultural training, and digital literacy will be available for women in these Sadans.
