    Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, during the launch of the 2025 Dental Conference in Raipur, discussed the ongoing efforts to enhance health services across the state, with a strong emphasis on improving the lives of the 3 crore residents while working towards a developed Chhattisgarh. He outlined the progress made in expanding healthcare infrastructure and reaching remote areas over the past 20 months. At the conference, the Chief Minister observed an exhibition featuring dental equipment and launched the annual publication of the Dental Association.

    Chief Minister Sai spoke about prioritizing healthcare since the beginning of his tenure, including the approval of new medical colleges and the establishment of institutions for specialized care. He highlighted the growth in the number of medical colleges, from one in 2000 to the current 15. He discussed the Ayushman Bharat Yojana and the Prime Minister’s Vaya Vandana Yojana, both of which facilitate free treatment, and the availability of affordable generic medicines. He also emphasized the role of dentists in promoting dental health, especially in light of rising oral cancer cases associated with substances like pan masala and tobacco. The establishment of AIIMS in Chhattisgarh, initiated during the tenure of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, was also mentioned.

    Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India a developed nation by 2047, the Chief Minister stated that the Chhattisgarh government is aligning with this vision through the Chhattisgarh Vision 2047 document, which outlines 10 missions for the state’s progress. He also noted the goal of increasing Chhattisgarh’s GSDP to 75 lakh crore rupees by 2047. Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of health services and efforts to provide quality healthcare in remote and Naxal-affected areas. He highlighted the deployment of expert doctors in Bastar and the certification of the Chintagufa health center. The launch of mobile medical units and bike ambulance services in difficult terrains was also mentioned. He further pointed out that Chhattisgarh leads in providing cashless treatment options. The Dental Conference was attended by many dental professionals from across the country.
