    Ranchi, in the presence of the Chief Minister and Central Minister of Coal, officials from the state government, the Coal Ministry, and affiliated units of Coal India had a positive discussion on several important issues, including the return of land where coal mining and related work had been completed.

    They discussed matters such as the Zharia Master Plan, Government Land Compensation, land acquisition for coal mines, compensation and jobs for displaced families, use of the CSR Fund for resettlement, and obstacles to operating coal projects.

    The Chief Minister said – the Zharia Master Plan and Belghadia Township project are important initiatives.

    Chief Minister Hemant Soren met Central Minister of Coal and Mines, S. M. Keshan Reddy, at the CM residential office on Kanake Road, Ranchi. At that time, officials from the state government, the Coal Ministry, and affiliated units of Coal India discussed ways to improve the coal and mining sector. The discussion covered key issues related to coal mines in the state. The Chief Minister presented the state government’s stance on various issues related to coal mines, including the Zharia Master Plan, Belghadia Township project, Government Land Compensation, return of land where mining work is completed, review of remaining land, and operation of new coal mining projects. The Central Coal Minister informed the Chief Minister of the problems relating to coal mining projects. The Chief Minister said that better coordination between the central and state governments is the only way to solve problems related to coal mines. He also stated that the Zharia Master Plan and Belghadia Township project are important initiatives that will provide displaced families with a safe and dignified life; a discussion also took place about appointing a full-time CEO for the Zharia Master Plan soon.

    Focus on Positive Steps Taken by the Centre and State Governments on Coal and Mining Projects

    In the presence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren and Central Minister of Coal and Mines, S. M. Keshan Reddy, officials made decisions on royalties on minerals, resettlement of displaced families, employment and compensation, policy decisions on forest land encroachment, review of remaining land, reconciliation work supported by the state government, return of land after mining work is completed, control over accidents caused by illegal mining in mines, employment for local people living near mining areas, solutions to obstacles in operating coal projects, and use of the CSR fund, among other important topics.

    At this occasion, State Secretary Mr. Avinash Kumar, private secretary of the Central Coal Minister Mr. Pankaj Jain, Chairman of Coal India Mr. B. Sayaram, Advisor MoC Mr. B. Veera Reddy, Mr. Aalok Singh, CMD of CCL Mr. N. K. Singh, CMD of BCCL Mr. Manoj Agrawal, MP from CPI Mr. Shiv Raj Singh, GM of CCL Mr. S. K. Jha and other officers were present.
