Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren instructs to forward to Director Census Operations Directorate, Jharkhand

Ranchi. Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren, exercising the powers conferred under Rule-8 (iv) of the Census Rules, 1990, under the Census Act, 1948 (Central Act No.-37, Year 1948), has instructed that no change shall be made in the administrative jurisdiction boundaries of all administrative units of Jharkhand state for the Census of India-2027, such as district/sub-division/block / municipal corporation / municipal council/municipal panchayat/ cantonment board / ward/panchayat/village etc. from 01.01.2026 to 31.03.2027. Along with this, the Chief Minister has also instructed to forward the information related to changes in jurisdiction boundaries made till 31.12.2025 and the desired notification to the Director, Census Operations Directorate, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
