    Raipur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inspected the exhibition organized by the Labor Department at the Indoor Stadium in Raipur. On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee of Chhattisgarh and Vishwakarma Jayanti, the Labor Department is organizing 55 health camps in all the districts of the state from September 12 to 19. In these camps, free health check-ups, free medicine distribution, worker registration and renewal facilities are being provided. Special training programs have been started in Mahasamund, Bilaspur and Rajnandgaon districts for skill upgradation of construction workers. Preparations are also being made to provide training to workers in other districts.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai inspected the exhibition based on safety related materials and departmental schemes for the workers at the Mahasammelan site. A blood donation camp was organized by the Employee State Insurance Services. At the same time, free spectacles were distributed to the workers by the Labor Welfare Board.

    In the Shram Mahasammelan, crores of rupees of assistance were provided to the workers under various schemes. Under the Building and Other Construction Workers Board, more than 1.77 lakh workers were provided with Rs 58.32 crore, under the Unorganized Workers State Social Security Board, 3,839 workers were provided with Rs 4.77 crore and under the Labor Welfare Board, 3,332 workers were provided with Rs 2.06 crore of assistance amount was directly transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries. Under this, financial assistance was directly deposited into the accounts of the workers under several welfare schemes including Didi E-Rickshaw Assistance Scheme, Minamata Mahtari Jatan Yojana, Chief Minister Construction Laborer Safety Equipment Assistance Scheme, Chief Minister Noni Empowerment Scheme, Chief Minister Naunihal Scholarship Scheme, Worker Tool Assistance Scheme, Sewing Machine Assistance Scheme and Cycle Assistance Scheme.
