    Raipur, September 06, 2025 // Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today reached Jagriti Mandal, Pandri, Raipur and paid tribute to the former province preacher of Chhattisgarh, Revered Shri Shantaram Ji. Chief Minister Shri Sai offered a floral wreath on his mortal remains and paid respects to him.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Revered Shantaram Ji was a senior preacher of the Sangh and he had a deep intimate relationship with me. He always provided affection and guidance like a guardian. His demise is a personal loss not only for the Sangh family, society and the state, but also for me. Praying to God, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that may the departed soul find a place at his feet and may all well-wishers be given the strength to bear this deep sorrow.

    Former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, while paying tribute to Revered Shantaram Ji, said that he was like a father to us. He revived Madkudweep and made an important contribution to nation building and became an ideal for everyone with his humility and life values. As a senior preacher of the Sangh, he continuously guided the people and volunteers of Chhattisgarh considering them as family. Even when I was the Chief Minister, I continued to receive his affection and blessings. The entire state is in mourning over his demise.

    On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Shri Tankram Verma, Shri Gajendra Yadav, Guru Khushwant Saheb, former Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Devendra Pratap Singh, Rajnandgaon MP Shri Santosh Pandey, MLAs Sarvashree Anuj Sharma and Motilal Sahu, Chairman of Minorities Commission Shri Amarjit Chhabra, Chairperson of Child Protection Commission Dr. Varnika Sharma, Chairman of Agriculture Welfare Board Shri Chandrahans Chandrakar, along with a large number of volunteers and common people were present.
