    Raipur, April 03, 2025 / Yoga is the greatest medium for balancing the soul, mind, and body. Our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi established yoga on the world stage, and today the whole world is adopting this ancient Indian discipline to attain health. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said this today while addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, Shri Roopnarayan Sinha.

    In the presence of Chief Minister Shri Sai, Chairman Shri Roopnarayan Sinha took the oath today in a dignified ceremony held at Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital, Raipur, amidst Vedic chants. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Sai greeted the saints and received their blessings.

    Congratulating the newly appointed Chairman of the Yoga Commission, Shri Sinha, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Shri Sinha has been given the great responsibility of connecting and keeping Chhattisgarh healthy. The people of the state, along with the Yoga Commission, will benefit from his social life dedicated to public service and his long experience in organizational responsibilities. The journey of the Yoga Commission, established in 2017, has been remarkable so far, and under the leadership of Shri Sinha, it will set new records.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that yoga is a gift from the sages of India, and they are also the bearers of this beautiful tradition. Yoga is a physical, mental, and spiritual practice, and it means to join or unite, which symbolizes the union of body and consciousness. He said that it is only through the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi that this yoga-like consciousness has spread all over the world, and the United Nations has recognized June 21 as International Yoga Day. Shri Sai said that yoga is prevalent in various forms all over the world, and its popularity is constantly increasing. On this occasion, the Chief Minister appealed to everyone to include yoga in their daily routine for a healthy body and mind and to explain its importance to the future generation by connecting them with yoga.

    Addressing the program, the newly appointed Chairman of the Yoga Commission, Shri Roopnarayan Sinha, said that yoga is for everyone and works to connect everyone. While working in the organization, I have always worked to connect people, and today I have been given a big responsibility to connect everyone through the Yoga Commission. Shri Sinha said that many important resources are available in nature, but the best among them is human resource. The Chief Minister has entrusted me with the responsibility of keeping the human resource healthy, and to fulfill this, our goal is to take yoga to the masses. Our Prime Minister practices yoga regularly. The whole world is aware of his energy and efficiency today. Shri Sinha shared his views on the worldwide popularity and relevance of yoga.

    On this occasion, Minister of Social Welfare Smt. Lakshmi Rajwade, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, Former Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, MLA Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, MLA Shri Sampat Agarwal, MLA Shri Anuj Sharma, Dr. Rampratap Singh, Shri Sanjay Srivastava, Mahamandaleshwar Shri Hariharanand Maharaj, Revered Saint Udaynath Ji Maharaj, Shri Vasu Devanand Ji Maharaj, Secretary of Social Welfare Department Shri Bhuvnesh Yadav, Director of Social Welfare Smt. Roktima Yadav, along with the venerable society of saints, yoga teachers, and dignitaries were present.
