    Over 12,000 Affordable and Quality Houses to be Constructed Through 55 Housing Board Projects in 26 Districts of the State

    3-Day State Level Housing Fair Begins at Shankar Nagar BTI Ground

    Raipur, November 23, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today inaugurated housing projects worth Rs 2060 crore of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board at the three-day state-level housing fair held at BTI Ground, Shankar Nagar, Raipur. These 55 projects will be launched in 26 districts of the state, through which over 12,000 affordable and quality houses will be constructed. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also launched the Housing Board’s AI chatbot and portal, which will provide consumers with easy access to information about the Housing Board’s residential projects.

    Present on the occasion were Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Minister for Housing and Environment Shri OP Chaudhary, Revenue Minister Shri Tankram Verma, MLA Shri Motilal Sahu, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, MLA Shri Anuj Sharma, Chairman of the Housing Construction Board Shri Anurag Singhdev, Chairperson of the Film Development Corporation Ms. Mona Sen, Chairman of the Telghani Board Shri Jatin Sahu, along with other public representatives and a large number of citizens.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai said that the current team of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board is performing exceptionally well. It is moving forward with innovation to provide affordable and quality housing to the people of the state. The Chhattisgarh government has paid off the Housing Board’s debt of Rs 790 crore, making the board debt-free so that it can work with a better strategy. He mentioned the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, operational across the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, for providing pucca houses to the needy and homeless. He stated that in the last two years, under this scheme, 2.6 million houses have been approved in Chhattisgarh. Everyone is getting a house. Under the PM Janman Yojana, 32,000 houses have been approved for particularly backward tribal communities, and 15,000 houses for surrendered Naxalites and Naxal-affected families in Bastar.

    On this occasion, the Chief Minister congratulated and extended best wishes to the recipients of house booking certificates, keys to houses for Housing Board consumers, and freehold house certificates at the state-level housing fair.

    Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh lauded the work of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board and stated that the current team of the board is doing excellent work in the housing sector. He noted that the success of the housing fair can be gauged by the traffic jams on the road since its inception, with traffic management struggling to cope. He praised the efforts being made under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to provide housing to needy families in the state, mentioning that a provision of Rs 14,000 crore has been made in the budget for this purpose. Dr. Singh expressed confidence that all Housing Board projects will receive a good response in the districts.

    Minister for Housing and Environment Shri OP Chaudhary expressed gratitude for the decisions taken under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai to improve the functioning of the Housing Board and provide relief to consumers. He stated that due to the special initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chhattisgarh Housing Board has become debt-free from Rs 790 crore. He mentioned that within a year, the Housing Board has achieved business worth Rs 672 crore. He added that the government has provided relief to the Housing Board and consumers by offering concessions on land diversion and freehold.

    Shri Chaudhary further stated that the Housing Board will commence construction of residential projects based on consumer demand.

    The program was also addressed by the Chairman of the Housing Board, Shri Anurag Singhdev. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, the Housing Board will construct houses in all districts of the state. He announced plans to launch residential projects in all assembly constituencies in the next phase.

    It is noteworthy that this state-level housing fair will continue at BTI Ground until November 25. On the first day of the fair, a large crowd of people flocked to the fairground from morning onwards to gather information about the Housing Board’s residential projects and book houses. Traffic jams were reported on the road from Shankar Nagar Turning Point towards Khamhardih.
