Inauguration of Chief Engineer Office of Water Resources Department in Jagdalpur
Irrigation Works in Bastar Region Will Be Expedited
Raipur, April 15, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai today gave a big gift to Bastar Division. He inaugurated the Chief Engineer Office of the Water Resources Department in Jagdalpur. With the commencement of this office, there will be a lot of convenience in the departmental work of all the seven districts of Bastar Division. Survey, DPR construction, and technical approval of construction works related to water resources will be expedited. Earlier, one had to go to Raipur for approval of these works. Now these works will be able to be done in the divisional headquarters, Bastar itself.
In the new office of the Chief Engineer of the Water Resources Department, which has been started with the special initiative of Water Resources Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, approval has also been given in the budget for the appointment of officers and employees at various levels. Currently, this office is operating on the upper floor of the Indravati Project Mandal Bhawan of the Superintending Engineer’s office in Jagdalpur. On the occasion of the inauguration of the Chief Engineer Water Resources Office, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Water Resources Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, MP Bastar Shri Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Shri Kiran Singh Dev, MLA Chitrakot Shri Vinayak Goyal, Municipal Corporation Mayor Shri Sanjay Pandey and Zilla Panchayat President Smt. Vedmati Kashyap, Chairman of Finance Commission Shri Niwas Rao Maddi along with many public representatives, In-charge Chief Engineer and Superintending Engineer of Water Resources Department K. S. Bhandari and officers and employees of Water Resources Department were present.
