    Raipur 02 December 2024/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has announced to increase the amount of grant given per cattle to cow shelters from Rs 25 to Rs 35. He said that there is a need to run a public awareness campaign in Chhattisgarh for the protection and promotion of Mother Cow. Chief Minister Shri Sai was addressing the assuming charge ceremony of the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Cow Service Commission, Shri Visheshar Singh Patel at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur today.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai congratulated and congratulated the newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Cow Service Commission Shri Visheshwar Patel on getting the new responsibility. The Chief Minister also inspected the stalls of cow products set up on this occasion. Deputy Chief Ministers Shri Arun Sao and Shri Vijay Sharma were also present in the function.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that mother cow is a symbol of our prosperity. It is believed that 33 crore Gods and Goddesses reside in Mother Cow. The Chief Minister said that it would be appropriate to call the cow sanctuary as Gau-Dham. The state government has decided to build cow shelters at various places. Gau-Dham is ready on 50 acres in Jhalam of Bemetara district, it will be inaugurated soon. Similarly, the work of constructing Gau-Dham on 120 acres in Kawardha district is going on at a fast pace. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state government is working to promote milk production in the state and strengthen the Devbhog brand of Chhattisgarh. The state government will make efforts to ensure that mother cows remain safe. Strict steps are being taken to ban cow smuggling and cow slaughter.

    Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao said that mother cows are an integral part of our agricultural economy. For their conservation and promotion, it is necessary that we make space for mother cows in our homes and rear cows.

    Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma said that Vishnu has good governance in the state. Strict action is being taken against those involved in PSC scam and corruption. On the lines of Amul of Gujarat, the state government will make animal husbandry a means of economic progress of the society and family.

    The newly appointed Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Cow Service Commission, Mr. Visheshhar Singh Patel threw light on the works and future plans of the Commission in detail. On this occasion, former minister Shri Nanki Ram Kanwar, Sant Shri Ram Balak Das, Sant Shri Rajeev Lochan Ji Maharaj, Acharya Rakesh, Didi Pragya Bharti, Sadhvi Girijesh Nandini, Shri Pawan Sai, Shri Rampratap Singh, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Backward Classes Commission Shri Nehru Nishad, Chhattisgarh Waqf Board Chairman Mr. Salim Raj, State Cow Service Commission Registrar Dr. Sameer Sharma were also present.
