    The Chief Minister became emotional after meeting with the families of the deceased.

    The Chief Minister stated that the cowardly attack by Naxalites was not only an attack on our soldiers but also on the values of democracy and peace.

    The Chief Minister asserted that violence and terror will not be tolerated under any circumstances, and the campaign to eliminate Naxalites will continue.

    Raipur, January 7, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today offered floral tributes to the mortal remains of the soldiers and driver martyred in an IED blast at Ambeli village on the Kutro-Bedre road in Bijapur district on Monday at the Dantewada Karli Police Lines. He met with the families of the martyred soldiers, expressed condolences, and offered them support. The Chief Minister said that the state government is with them every step of the way.

    The Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister and Minister in charge Shri Kedar Kashyap, Bastar MP Shri Mahesh Kashyap, Dantewada MLA Shri Chaitram Atami, Bijapur MLA Shri Vikram Mandavi, former MP Shri Deepak Baj, former MLA Smt. Devti Karma, along with DGP Shri Ashok Juneja, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Rahul Bhagat, ADGP Shri Vivekananda Sinha, Commissioner Bastar Shri Doman Singh, IG Bastar Range Shri Sundararaj P., DIGs Shri Kamalochan Kashyap and Shri Amit Kamble, Collector Shri Mayank Chaturvedi, Superintendent of Police Shri Gaurav Rai, and officers from the Police and CRPF, along with other public representatives and dignitaries, paid floral tributes to the mortal remains of the martyred soldiers and the driver.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai, along with the Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister, shouldered the mortal remains of martyred soldier Baman Sodhi and sent him to his home village. Similarly, the mortal remains of other martyred soldiers and the driver were sent to their respective home villages.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said that the cowardly attack by Naxalites in the Kutro area of Bijapur was not only an attack on our soldiers but also on the values of democracy and peace. The sacrifice of the soldiers will not go in vain. The campaign to eliminate the Naxalites will continue.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that violence and terror will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Our government is fully committed to establishing peace in the Bastar division, and Naxalism will be eradicated from the state by March 2026.

    It is noteworthy that 8 DRG personnel and a driver were martyred in an IED blast carried out by Naxalites in the Kutro area of Bijapur district.
