    Raipur, January 3, 2026/Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai paid a courtesy call on President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu in New Delhi today. On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Sai invited President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu to attend the state-level tribal cultural festival ‘Bastar Pandum 2026’ to be organized in Chhattisgarh as the chief guest.

    Chief Minister Mr. Sai informed the President about the rich tribal art, culture, traditions, and folk life of the Bastar region, stating that Bastar Pandum is an important effort for the preservation, promotion, and national-international level publicity of the state’s tribal heritage. This event will be organized in three phases, with the final phase concluding in Bastar in February 2026.

    On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Sai also apprised the President about the progress of the Chhattisgarh government’s comprehensive development of tribal areas, education, health, livelihood, infrastructure expansion, and public welfare schemes. He stated that the state government is continuously working to connect the tribal society with the mainstream of development while preserving their cultural identity.

    President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu appreciated the event related to tribal culture and extended best wishes for the successful organization of Bastar Pandum 2026.

    It is noteworthy that through Bastar Pandum 2026, various cultural forms including folk dance, folk songs, traditional musical instruments, handicrafts, tribal cuisine, and costumes will be showcased.
